Are head lice a major problem in your area? Biography

Passion is the core of Lidia Serrano. Her desire to follow her intuition and respect her beliefs has lead her to choose a path in her career that most would not consider. Holding certificates in HRS Child Care Training, CPR with the American Academy of Pediatrics and HRS Child Care First Aide through the Palm Beach Community College, Ms. Serrano began her quest to provide an environment of safe care for children, along with their families, in the expertise of Lice.

Lidia Serrano was born in San Juan, Puerto, Rico and came to the United States when she was three. Educated at Palm Beach Community College, she was licensed as a Certified Medical Assistant. She began her career at the Boca Raton Community Hospital, but knew her final destination would reflect her affection for children. Her position provided her with the inspiration to find the path she was to take. Believing there was the necessity to reach schools and children, Lidia's career lead to private schools.

With concern regarding the problems families were experiencing with resistant head lice, Lidia created a business that would provide help to those in need with the support of her husband. Children were missing numerous days of education due to "no nit" policies and parents found themselves in jeopardy of loosing their jobs by having their children home from school. The chemicals currently available were not working as they once were, leaving Lidia to join in with the University of Miami, Field Services Team. She participated in several Studies to locate new approaches to safely treat children and get them back in school.
