TIME MAGAZINE Declares HairClean 1-2-3 to be "Faster Than the Pesticides at Killing Lice."
Eugene, OR., June 1999: HairClean 1-2-3 Lice Remover is "proving to be just as fast as - or faster than - the pesticides at killing lice," according to a feature article in the June 21 Select Family issue of Time Magazine.
The article includes an interview with the Nations leading head lice expert, Professor Meinking, from the University of Miami, who has conducted research studies on HairClean. She recommends use of the non-toxic product and has used HairClean to "clean up entire schools." According to Time.
"The pyrethrins (Rid, Pronto, etc.) aren't working as well as they used to," says Meinking.
HairClean 1-2-3 kills lice by breaking down their cuticles, or outer shells.

Lindane (Kwell) can damage the nerves and scalp, according to the article, resulting in biting and stinging sensations you don't get with head lice. This promotes overuse, creating a feeling of infestation and paranoia.
"Nitpicking", or removing the lice eggs by hand and a special lice removing comb, remains a vital mainstay of treatment.
