Canker Sores - Prevention and Treatment
According
to Dr. Ethan Schuman, a St. Louis dentist whose specializes in advanced
dental technologies, "There is no one thing that causes a canker sore. But
there are events or chemicals that are likely to cause them and if the
patient can associate the outbreak with the trigger, then he/she may
possibly avoid getting the sores." Read

Insect Repellent Face Off: DEET vs.
Natural
Every year, approximately one-third of the U.S. population uses
insect repellants containing DEET to ward off mosquitoes and other pests.
At present, DEET is used in more than 230 products with concentrations up
to 100 percent. Concern over ill effects has led some, such as the
American Academy of Pediatric Physicians, to suggest that parents use low
or no DEET formulas. Natural repellents are now available that work as
well. Read more

Dear Quantum,
I notice that Buzz Away Extreme has different
ingredients than the Buzz Away I bought last year .. what's up with
that?
Dale W., Houston, TX
Dear Dale,
We found that this new combination of ingredients
provides protection against bites for a much longer time. The key
ingredients in our new formulas are soy bean and geranium oil. Buzz Away
Extreme is still all natural as was the original. But many people continue
to use the original because they like that particular fragrance and of
course, it works well, too.
